Congratulations to Everett Public School‘s OnlineHS Student of the Month for September 2017.
Freshman Connor Westman is an exemplary on-line student. He is taking English and Walking through Everett’s OnlineHS in addition to his courses at Jackson High School.
He impressed his OnlineHS English teacher early on with his initiative and work ethic.
Connor says: “I am thankful to have the opportunity to do 2 of my classes online.
I am a night owl and really like being able to work late at night during the weekend, or whenever is convenient for me. I enjoy working ahead and doing the work at my own pace. Another great thing about online classes is that I don’t have any distractions of being in a classroom with 25 other students.
It helps me concentrate by being able to work alone. I hope to continue to take online classes during the school year and over the summer so I can possibly graduate early and enter college early as well. I think online school is great for anyone who wants flexibility with their work.”
Online learning instructor Laura Wight says: “Connor communicates well with his on-line instructors, asking for help and clarification and showing he has read course info and announcements. He is passionate about his learning as he is consistently working ahead of deadline in his online class!”
