May 2016: Brian King Day

May 2016: Brian King Day

With great pleasure, Online High School announces that Brian King May is Student of the Month for May 2016. This is the 2nd semester Brian has taken an online class. In each class, he stands out for his quality of work, depth of thought, and superb prioritizing skills. Not only is Brian’s work of the highest quality, but he integrates components of his daily life, and he completes every assignment on time.

Two areas where Brian particularly shines is the discussion board and projects. In the discussion board, Brian answers the prompt and then he brings in real life experience and his own tone in writing. His interactions with other students are both positive and thought provoking. He goes beyond answering the prompt, he applies the concepts to his daily life. This is true in his projects as well. In his conflict resolution project for health, he used a real life situation from his Hockey team. He embedded video footage from a hockey game and applied the concepts in a hilarious yet insightful way. It is a pleasure to have Brian in class. He is taking full advantage of the freedom of the online learning classroom as his hockey schedule takes him away from home, yet he milks every ounce of academic opportunity with his critical and deep thinking in class.

Congratulations to Brian King, OnlineHS’s May Student of the Month.
