Kaitlyn Price is a fabulous online learner. She sets goals for herself and accomplishes them. In her OnlineHS personal introduction, she says,
“I love how much OnlineHS allows me to have a flexible schedule”.
In fact she works ahead of due dates and is already passing her World History Honors class! This year, ANY student enrolled in an eligible course may select the Honors Distinction. In order to qualify for Honors Distinction and have it noted on the official transcript, a student MUST complete all the supplementary requirements in addition to all the regular course assignments. To achieve the Honors Distinction a student must demonstrate advanced outcomes beyond that of the regular course. Kaitlyn has taken on this challenging option and is succeeding.
She says, “I always try to do my best and strive to do more than expected”.
She revises her work until she is satisfied with her grade and is proud of her accomplishments. That’s why Kaitlyn is OnlineHS Student of the Month!
UPDATE: Where Are They Now?
Tuesday, March 13, 2018
Hello OnlineHS,
I am currently attending Western Washington University in hopes of becoming a high school/ language arts teacher! I have to say that my time in your program was extremely rewarding, I am currently enrolled in an online class at my college as well. The skills I learned during my time as an onlinehs student have been valuable when it comes to taking a college course online as well.
Your program allowed me to advance my abilities during high school while being able to participate other activities outside of school. It was a great opportunity for me in high school because I was juggling traveling to show dogs, was the yearbook editor and a photographer at the same time. I believe for people such as myself, OnlineHS is so profoundly rewarding; you can develop a well-rounded person while still participating actively in schooling. I also enjoyed the fact that there were opportunities for a more rigorous course load as well, which included an honors option! I enjoyed my time as part of OnlineHS and am very thankful for the time I spent in the program!
I feel like it is always important to give credit where credit is due and Online HS and its instructors deserve that recognition. What this program does for its students is an amazing testament to the changing ways of the 21st century.
