Please join us in congratulating Dale Young, student at Everett High School, for outstanding achievement in his online classes.
Dale is no stranger to OnlineHS and he loves the options he has learning online. Over the years, Dale has taken several OnlineHS courses. Currently he is enrolled inWashington State History and Reading Fiction I – Banned Books.
He says,
“It is really a great option for me and taking classes online made a big difference in how I feel about school. I like to read and write, so online works great for me because I have to do so much reading and writing for these classes –way more than in regular classes. I also really like it that I can see what the assignments are for the whole semester because they are listed right at the beginning of the course. I think this is really helpful. It helps me plan and organize my time. I like doing school work the best in the middle of the night for example! And, with online classes I can sleep in longer, so I can stay up much later to do the work. I think that is because I am pretty quiet and don’t really like classrooms or school very much. I have liked all the teachers I have had (Sherm, Kathy, Erin and Tanya) but I have liked the classes the best. I have never been a great student. The whole set-up works great for someone like me who doesn’t really like going to school. Never in a million years did I think I would ever do well enough in school to get an award and I think that online classes is the reason I was able to do as well as I’ve done”.
