I. Program Management

The provider employs the following to ensure effective program management:

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: INSTRUCTORS

[DLD I 1: Administrative monitoring of and intervention in the quality and timeliness of instructors’ responses to student assignments and questions.]

EVIDENCE– District items:

OnlineHS administration regularly monitors courses and instructor adherence to the program’s Best Practices (listed above). Unlike a ‘brick & mortar’ classroom, EVERY interaction in an online course is date & time stamped and persists as part of the digital data recorded in every online class. Program administration can easily monitor every course from their administrator learning management access account. If problematic trends were to develop, they would easily be able to intervene and check with the instructor.

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: STUDENT RECORDS

[DLD I 2: Administrative monitoring of student records to ensure students are progressing through their courses at an acceptable rate, and to identify any problems and intervene when necessary.]

EVIDENCE– State & District items:

  • [wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_anchor_text_pdf link=”https://onlinehs.net/dld/WAC392-121-182.pdf” width=”800″ height=”600″ title=”WAC 392-121-182 Alternative learning experience requirements: Monthly Evaluation of Student Progress” text=”WAC 392-121-182 Alternative learning experience requirements: Monthly Evaluation of Student Progress”]

WAC392-121-182 requires administrative monitoring of monthly student progress.
OnlineHS also has a weekly response to intervention (RTI) for low/non-performing students.

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: NON-INSTRUCTIONAL TASKS

[DLD I 3: System-driven execution of non-instructional tasks—enrollments, login info dissemination and course materials delivery, etc.—performed via established and efficient procedures.]

EVIDENCE– Program items:

  • [wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_anchor_text_pdf link=”https://onlinehs.net/dld/i3-system.pdf” width=”800″ height=”600″ title=”OnlineHS Organization Chart (non-instructional tasks)” text=”OnlineHS Organization Chart (non-instructional tasks)”]

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: ENROLLMENT & FEES

[DLD I 4: Established and efficiently handled procedures for enrollment fees and payments.]

EVIDENCE– District & State items:

  • [wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_anchor_text_pdf link=”https://onlinehs.net/dld/i3-org.pdf” width=”800″ height=”600″ title=”District Policy. Section 4.01 Receipting, Depositing, and Money Handling (I4)” text=”District Policy. Section 4.01 Receipting, Depositing, and Money Handling (I4)”]
  • [wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_anchor_text_pdf link=”https://onlinehs.net/dld/p223.pdf” width=”800″ height=”600″ title=”Monthly Report of School District Enrollment Eligible for Basic Support P-223 (I4)” text=”Monthly Report of School District Enrollment Eligible for Basic Support P-223 (I4)”]
District Board Policy governs our handling of fees and payments. The State’s P-223 Form (Monthly Report of School District Enrollment Eligible for Basic Support) serves as evidence by which the Everett Public Schools OnlineHS program is able to obtain state basic education funding for students enrolling as part of the  full-time equivalent basic education.

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: FLEXIBLE ENROLLMENT

[DLD I 5: Accommodations to multiple school calendars and schedules and/or flexibility in student enrollment dates.]

EVIDENCE– District & State items:

  • [wp_lightbox_prettyPhoto_anchor_text_pdf link=”https://onlinehs.net/dld/i5-flexible-enrollment.pdf” width=”800″ height=”600″ title=”Screenshot- Registration page (web site)” text=”Screenshot- Registration page (web site)”]

Students have three different kinds of ways to take OnlineHS courses (during their 6-period schedule, in-addition to their 6-period day, or full-time). Student/Families are also afforded the ability to start their OnlineHS course(s) at different times within the Everett Public Schools ‘regular’ semester schedule.
